About COA Sydney

Connecting Sydney's Jewish Seniors to the Services they Need and the Community they Know

 

COA is the only community group created for it's members by it's members, delivering services to facilitate healthy ageing and allow seniors to stay in their own homes for as long as practicable.

 

COA Services include:

  • A weekly program of events and activities from Sunday to Friday at the COA Centre
  • Volunteer Work for all who wish to keep active and be involved
  • Assessment, case management, care worker placement and referral through our highly experienced Domicilliary Care team
  • Sydney’s only Kosher Meals-on-Wheels service
  • Outreach to Nursing Homes

 

Since its inception COA has responded to thousands of requests for assistance from the Jewish aged, and younger people with disabilities. Requests come from doctors, hospital social workers, Jewish and general community organisations, family members and individuals.

 

Our Aim

To promote healthy ageing and alleviate social and cultural isolation for Jewish seniors through; social networking, small and large group activities, celebrations of Jewish festivals and practical home services when needed.
